Bluetooth connection suddenly static-y

Hi Folks,
Wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I've got a DroidX2 with Gingerbread; I've been using it for about 1.5 years, and in that time have had no issues using my Jawbone Icon BT headset with it. However just several days ago I found that when I actually intiated a call using the same headset (sending or receiving), all I could hear was static. I tried pairing with a different headset (a Jabra 2050), but I get the same result. I've tried unpairing and re-pairing, but it seems to make no difference.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I've heard of Jabra causing issues but seeing as you say this is a recent problem, I doubt it is the actual device you are using since it worked previously. Do you have Wifi turned out at the same time? Try turning that off while using the headset. Other than that all i can think of is maybe a hardware/software problem since the phone is a bit older now. I'm assuming warranty has expired?

Excellent suggestion on the possible wifi interference! Looks like wifi was on, and turning it off appears to have resolved the issue; the static is gone. Many thanks!
