    droid x charge with wall charger but NOT usb plug into pc

    i recently got a used droid x. when plug into the wall charger it will charge
    but my pc and laptop will not recognize it and thus will not charge it

    try put the battery and reboot, did not help

    anyone know whats wrong?

    Did you try setting your phone to pc/charge only mode?

    Edit: came back to ask about the drivers too but Anarchy beat me to it.

    i try it with my wife's droid x, it will should the charging battery, mine does not, same laptop, same cable
    again, i can plug in the wall and it will charge...

    Are you using the cable that came with your phone? Sometimes "off-brand" cables can be the issue. Also try pulling your battery while phone is on and then replacing it. My last suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.
