crap phone wont connect to wifi

well this is only one of the problems i have with my droid. when i connect to the wifi in my house, i get full bars, and its blue, but then if i go to use an app that requires wifi, or use the browser, nothing will load and the wifi bars turn gray. i dont understand why, because im using the wifi on my laptop right now, and all my friends use it on their phones. so why cant i use it on my phone? did a factory data reset last night and all that did was waste time

Did you try to forget wifi settings and reconnect? Did it work before then suddenly stop working?

yes, and it worked fine when i first got the phone. after like a month and a half it just stopped working

I would say if you want to stay on stock its about time to do an SBF, otherwise rooting may be able to fix it and giving you a more awesome OS/ROM

First of all, I absolutely love my Droid X.

That being said, mine has recently stumped me with wifi troubles when I'm at home.

I have:
1) SBFd .621 using RSD Lite and then rooted using the Magic method (no dice),
2) Flashed Goose's Wifi Fix (still no dice),
3) Changed the battery settings, (no luck)
4) forgot and re-signed into the network (multiple times throughout the process), still no luck,
3) Flashed Dubbsy's Liquid ICS with GoogleNow and RAZR Launcher (which by the way is awesome), no dice,
4) Installed Nandroids that have worked in the past (no dice),
5) Flashed OA VXLR multiple times with each (then both) of the Wifi fixes (nothing),...

P.S.: Each time I flashed a ROM I did a mini SBF (Wipe Data/Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache, Format System).

I am on the 2.6.32.9-g1282440 mcbk83@il93lnxdroid08 #1 Wed Jan 11 12:19:23 CST 2012 Kernal

I have never had a Wifi problem like this in the two+ years I have owned the X.

It works at work, at Target, McD's... But not at home. I haven't changed anything at home; and all of my other stuff (laptop, Wii, Kids phones and iPods...) have continued working.

I have tried:
1) Disabling router security,
2) Changed from b to n, to g, to all,
3) Changed from TKIP to AES to both...

...and my router firmware is up to date.

Not sure what to do and would be grateful for some guidance.
