droid sound at 4 am

Ever since allowing the latest "update", my droid makes the Droid notification sound at 4 am repeatedly (I assume this is when it is updating?). It still makes the sound even when I turn the phone to vibrate, sound completely off. How do I quiet this?

Is it right at 4, or just around that time? And is the phone charging over night? Could it be the charge complete notification? If not, go in under your notifications and check what's using the droid sound, and turn it off or change it to something else until you find the source.

Are you rooted? Did you delete any boat? If so the reason why the sound is persistent no matter if the phone is of silent or not could be because the phone US reporting from recovery trying to install the ota.. but it fails... to fix this you'll need to freeze the blue updater app.. or with a root browser find the apk in/system/app/ and add a .bak to the end of the file extension
