    Help with droid x technology

Ok, so if you've saw any of my other threads, you know i bought a droid x off ebay, and hooked it up on my alltel account, so droid x on alltel network, anyways, i couldn't get 3g or MMS
messages to send/receive, so i started a thread, no help, so i researched, and looked, and what i've came up with is that alltel runs 900/2100mhz HSPDA while the verizon phone i have is looking for 3g 800/1900Mhz towers, so now i need to convert, can anyone please help me on how to convert my phone over from 3g to HSPDA for a alltel network?thanks so much for all the help.

I thought Verizon bought up Alltel? Or is it in only certain parts of the country?

If it's using HSDPA there isn't anything you can do since the radio in the X is a 800/1900 CDMA for 2G and CDMA2000 1xEV-DO for 3g connections.

Now I don't know much about Alltel but I do know that the radio you have in your phone is the radio you have and you can't change that. Sorry

Verizon did... They got most... But in some rural places like southern Utah, Montana...etc... To keep Verizon from having a monopoly... AT&T got those areas

Okay, well i just looked up Atlantic telo-network (which is who bought out alltel down here) and it says that one of their frequencies is 1900mhz. and one of alltels is 1900mhz. and the phones radio is set for 1900mhz to correct? can anyone check this out and tell me where i went wrong? I live in southern illinois so that might be the wrong company that bought out alltel here, anyhow, i would like to know if i got the wrong mhz for any of the companies, becasue if i didn't and they all have a frequency of 1900mhz, my phone should pick that up just fine right? thanks.

I found my problem, the main account holder put a block on my internet, so thats it, have to get them to remove it and everything will work just fine. Unless anyone knows a way to go around the block and get data anyway, just assumed their was no way. Thanks for all the help by everyone.
