Volume control doesnt work/ volume wont stay up

Hey so last night i accidentally dropped my droid x2 in a bunch of snow for literately 30 seconds and it got a little wet. Once it dried out I charged it and it booted up normal and works just fine except all of a sudden my volume controls don't work?! The volume up works, but volume down doesn't work and I'm constantly battling my phone to keep my volume up because it has seemingly become possessed frequently lowering my volume whenever it deems necessary making it nearly impossible to listen to music or watch movies on my phone, any ideas...PLEASE HELP!
