    Question Best way to backup EVERYTHING on your phone?

    Im getting my phone replaced soon, I dont really want to but I got no other choice. My power key is like jammed, very hard to press so Im sending it back to WireFly. Anyways, my question is; whats the best way to backup EVERYTHING on my phone?

    Im thinking about plugging my phone in to the PC and booting on ArchLinux and copying all the archives and dirs from the phone into a folder on my HDD

    Make sure you have contacts / calendar (if using) backed up with google or exchange account. Apps you can use MyBackUp Pro in the market...

    I would love to hear some more answers on this. I have about 100 songs, 200 pics, a dozen vids and 150 apps (some of which I do not want the updated version of) and I need to know how to back them all up. I'm not rooted, nor do i want to be right now.

    Songs, pics and vids are already on your SD card - these are not stored on the phone's memory...

    Ok, thanks STG! That beings me to my next question; what stuff is being loaded onto my phone's internal memory? I'm guess some of my apps and games? And how do I back those up?

    Yes, apps and app data I believe...however with 2.2, I believe we have the option to download to the SD card so at that point, back up via an app possibly won't be a needed...

    buy or borrow an SD card reader - $10-15 and copy to your comp then back to the new card? - or see if the store will swap the new card for your old one so that you retain the original?
