Rooting and unrooting...
If i root my droid x on 4.5.605 and for some reason need to take it into verizon, is there a easy way i can unroot my droid so that i have everything i had before i rooted back onto my phone. will my warrenty go back? will verizon find out?
And also what are the top things you need to have after you root?

The method to root 605 also has an unroot option. All you have to do is plug your phone into the PC, open the program you used to root, and click unroot. Easy peasy.
It won't, in and of itself, remove the apps you installed that require root, including the superuser app. But there are guides that will tell you what files to delete in order to completely erase those apps and any traces of them.
Another choice is to SBF. It will completely wipe your phone and install the stock, straight out of the box, fresh version of android. As far as your warranty goes, if they can't show that you rooted, then they can't use it against you to deny your warranty. So, with that in mind, anytime you are sending in your phone, an SBF is the best method to ensure you're golden.
Now as far as what to do after you root......sooo many things to do. Check this thread out, it'll give you an idea of some of the stuff you can do All-In-One POST ROOT Thread
