    # su binary outdated, what should I do?

    I am getting a update message to tap to update binary, then it tell me a new version of su binary found, update now. It involves the superuser application (process com.noshufou.android.su What should I do, should I download it, will it effect my tethering or anything else on my droid x. Thanks for a quick response.

    I just forced a closed. Did I need to do that, if I need to update it, how will I get it to appear again for updating? Thanks

    It will give you the message again eventually. Yes update it & it won't affect any current root apps with updating (or it shouldn't)...

    Now is asking for a superuser request to allow to access the app wireless tether (10101) package android.tether request UID root (0) command /data/data...ger start 1 this is the info then it asked to allow or deny, again, what should I do I do not wan to lose the tether THANKS AGAIN FOR A QUICK REPONSE

    You would want to allow the request... it should ask you this on all your root apps... do you have any other rooted apps?

    Cant update my su binary?

    My installed version is 2.3.1-ef.

    It says in the updater terminal

    Downloading manifest... okay!
    Parsing manifest... okay!
    Latest version = 3.0
    Checking installed version = (2.3.1-ef) in red font
    Fixing database... okay!
    Checking for busybox... okay!
    Checking current install patch... (fail!) in red font
    Failed to find currently installed su binary
    Update cannot continue


    Where do I go from here?

    EDIT: I got the SU Elite and working off of SU 3 Beta it updated my binary no sweat!
