PC Upload cannot see DCIM folder

When I connect the Droid X to our PC via USB cable, I see the icon for Motorola removable disk. However the only files visible are the drivers application and setup. There is no DCIM folder to drill down to see the Camera folder and the pictures (which we see on the Droid via Camera Roll only as the Gallery says it is empty). What am I doing wrong?

After you connect the X to the PC, pull down the status bar and click the USB notification. Check USB mass storage in the pop up, then the sd card will show up as a drive in windows explorer

Still missing something. Connected to the PC. Then on X status bar there is Ongoing section which has USB connection in it and there is a Notifications section which has Connection detected. If we click the Connection detected it tells us the memory car is missing (though we know it is there). If we click the USB connection we see the USB Mass Storage which has the green light and we click OK. The status bar closes but on the PC we are not seeing anything except the 4 things we always see (Autorun, Config, MotoHelper and Setup). Still not seeing the DCIM folder. Thanks for trying to help.

Sounds like you are missing the Motorola drivers.

Here's the link: USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA
