I have my phone sucessfully rooted; i tried gingerbreading it and i bricked it; i SBF back to normal and im at the rooting again; can somebody guide me through this. i am running android version 2.2.1 it keeps asking me to download OTA Updates. what do i do -_-

After you root, you'll want to install parts 1 and 2 of the third set of downloads in this thread.

well it depends..you can use z4 root to root 2.2.1..gingerbreak isn't made for that since its froyo..is that wat you did before?

If you want to stay on froyo run z4root root it and then freeze updater2.2.1 and you can go in and delete the update file and stay on froyo


Or you can root install bootstrap and download the two part gingerbread rooted zip and install gingerbread Official DX Gingerbread 2.3.3 (4.5.596) Release Thread - Something for everyone

Freeze updater2.2.1 with something like titanium backup then with a root file explorer go to /cache and delete the update zip file
