understanding what my build version is for updating

I would like to have a better understanding what my build and or version is for updating.

Checking in my settings i find,
android version 2.2.1
kernal version 2.6.32.9
mod/rom version liberty v2.0.1

Is that all ill need to know?

I was stock droidx till about 2 months ago, i rooted and put liberty on. I havent really done anything after that, i think the official gingerbread was about to come out soon.
Was thinking about seeing if i could overclock to get n64oid, a n64 emulator to run smoothly but figured i should make sure im updated or at least sure about what im at beforehand.
