X Lurker
My Droidx has been rebooting over and over, at random times, at all times of day. One day at work, I caught it rebooting six times. About the only time it hasn't rebooted is during a phone call.
Otherwise, it reboots during texting, games, music, e-mail, ect. I can be at home, at the YMCA, at the grocery store, at work, and even on the road. It doesn't matter, it just reboots. My husbands Droidx also does this, but it seems not as often as mine does.
I saw on another thread that clearing the cache would help...for a period of time.
The main problem with the random rebooting is that now it has cleared and replaced my mp3 files and playlists, rearranged my DRM, changed my ringtones and notification sounds, removed then reinstalled contacts, etc. So, when I pick up my phone, I generally have no idea what will be there.
So, now it's more than just an annoyance issue, its becomming a MAJOR performance issue. I've also noticed that since the 4G towers went "Live" in Lincoln, NE last October, there is very little 3G connectivity to be found. So, not only do I have a phone that has a mind of it's own, I also can't use the network I'm paying for.
Sometimes I wonder if Verizon messes with firmware to force people to buy a new phone every two years.
