When my Droid X was out of the box, it was lightning fast and super responsive to the touch. Lately, it has been taking two presses to either launch and icon/widget or when trying to get to another screen. This happens about 80% of the time I use the touchscreen. I use a task killer to make sure I'm not running things unnecessarily, and the Android Assistant with the auto boost (kills the totally unneeded programs I designate every 10 minutes if they reopen).
Aside from that, I have uninstalled all the programs I downloaded that either I don't want or don't ever use.
I don't use a live wallpaper
I run Darkslide 4.2, which isn't the fastest out there, but is certainly faster than most.
I keep my wifi and gps off unless they're being actively used.
I dont have an excessive amount of icons(maybe 40 total between all 5 screens), or widgets(maybe 10 at most, 2 per screen).
I have backed up, then wiped data/cache/dalvik and reinstalled, and got little to no results.
Also, I recently bought a new set of screen protectors, but the problem seemed to persist even when there wasn't one there at all.
Has anyone had this problem?? Does anyone know something else to try that might work?
Thank you for any help!!
