    Browser Error "file:///android_asset/webkit/" Anyone Else?

I get this error about 1/3rd of the time when clicking on links that SHOULD launch into the browser.

I have tried many browsers, and the stock browser, Dolphin HD, and Xscope all do it. Skyfire does not.

Does anyone have any suggestions, I know I am not the only one since Motorola has its own thread:

I get it too. I have Dolphin set as the default but when the error happens Dolphin will appear then the stock browser will open with the error. If I hit the back button twice, the error browser will close and Dolphin will appear with the web page rendered properly. I have not ben able to figure out why it happens.

Yep something to do with the 3rd part browsers, I been using skyfire since its one of the faster ones. Dolphins HD browser annoyed the heck out of me with the side slide out panels sliding out all the time when I was just moving pages around

No it happens with the stock browser as well so its not just third party browsers..

Obviously the phone is looking for this "webkit" file or group of files.. is there some way to install it?

I think what he was trying to say is it has something to do with having third party browsers installed... sounds like you all do am I correct? I've never seen this error and I have no third party browser...

Do you notice it more with a particular type of site - i.e. one that requires flash or some type of plug-in? I use DolphinHD since I rec'd my X and I have not seen this error.

NO site type inparticular im afraid. Im going to try uninstalling Dolphin HD and see what happens. Report back soon.

    EDIT:

No, it still happens in the stock browser with Dolphin HD uninstalled. So at least we know it is not a Dolphin Issue.
