Use the volume button to scroll to reboot and then press camera button. Should reboot and be good to go.

Have you pressed the camera button while "reboot system now" was highlighted?

And you should definitely NOT take it to Verizon...

When youre in your phone go into the droid x bootstrap app. Hit bootstrap recovery. After success hit ok. Then back out. I also like to go into settings apps manage then find the bootstrap app and force close it. Now try a reboot. Hope this helps!

If you're running the Liberty ROM there is an option in the Settings/Liberty menu that allows you to always boot into Clockwork Recovery. If this is set anytime you boot the phone it will boot into Clockwork. This is a rather nice safety feature when you're experimenting with ROM settings, and nothing to be "worried" about. Whatever you do, do not take it to a Verizon store, cuz if they know anything at all, they'll know the phone has boot "rooted"

P.S. - If you are running Liberty and that option is selected just press to un-select it.

Please clarify, do you want to get rid of Bootstrap completely, or just not boot into the green clockwork recovery each time the phone reboots?

If the latter, did you try May's suggestion of hitting just Reboot Recovery then backing out and rebooting?

If you want to remove it completely, here are the instructions:

[HOW TO] Install and Remove Bootstrap Recovery
