I have a new DX which I have not yet rooted. Just bought a new 16GB card to replace the measly 2GB card it came with. I purposely haven't loaded up my phone yet with apps and stuff in anticipation of swapping to a new card first. So far I have only installed SoundHound, Evernote, Alchemy, Barcode Scanner and a TD Bank app.
When I plug my phone into my Ubuntu/Linux desktop I can see a drive labeled '2.0GB Filesystem' with folders including Android, DCIM, Logs, Messaging, Evernote, Music, SoundHound, .android_secure, etc. I don't see any folders for Alchemy, Barcode Scanner or TD Bank. There is a second drive shown named 'Motorola' which contains 'config.ini', 'autorun.exe' and a couple other things.
Do I just copy the entire contents of the '2.0GB Filesystem' drive to my desktop, swap out the cards and then copy everything back? Or is this more or less than I need to do?
Note that if I open the File Manager app on the phone and select 'Phone Files' I get an error message stating "Memory card is missing. Insert memory card to read files." I thought that was strange.
Your advice?
