How do I fix md5 mismatch??
Sorry if this has been posted.did some research the other night but didn't have a lot of time and found no real solution.
I installed liberty and loved it but decided to go back to stock and had major problems.a series of bad luck. the one I come to the pros with is clockwork recovery gave me a md5 mismatch. my last backup was from november and I lost a lot of serous stuff.how can I get that back in the easiest ENGLISH LANGUAGE way? I saw various solutions but in my limited time on laptop I couldn't figure it out.
I only have one day off a week and wednesday is it.
Edit to add: my backup from the night I flashed was the one with the error. I don't think it matters but I installed liberty 1.0 that time.

Btw I lost root. (?) Used z4root.
Edit to add:
When I emphasized ' in english' I am familiar with everything but if someone says something like: "make sure you wipe", please say what to wipe.I don't do this everyday anymore.
I will forever be in dept to anyone that helps me fix this.
come to worcester ma and nights on me drinking. : D

if you changed the name of the nandroid change to have no spaces.. should do it
I didn't change anything. Saw the spaces problem, er solution.haven't changed the name of what clockwork gave it.
Edit to add:
I didn't change anything.went from liberty right back to stock.but clockwork gave me md5 error.
Note to self: after backup, make sure it works before installing roms.

If you didn't edit them then you probably have a corrupt backup. You don't have any other backups to try?
The same thing happened to me a couple days ago. It was just a corrupt backup and unfortunately there was nothing I could do. Just restored my prior backup.

my last backup was from november and I had done a lot to the phone since then. Damn.
Found this on another forum:
i put in the commands in the emulator and it responded by saying "cannot create nandroid.md5: read-only file system"
You can actually manually do it, and maybe get that backup fixed. Go to the backup folder /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/*rom name (date and time usually)/
See if there is a nandroid.md5 file in there. If so, delete it, you can back it up if you want but it is busted so no point.
Next step to open adb shell or terminal emulator and type:
cd /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/*rom name (date and time usually)/
md5sum *img > nandroid.md5
Any idea where to go from here?
