Is this in gmail? K9 for another mail server?

    Specificity will help.

Since it is a web-based e-mail account...not sure how you can keep e-mails on a server once you hit delete on your home. I usually only delete the ones on my phone that I don't care about and then log into the website on my laptop and manage the ones I want to keep (move to folders etc) and then officially delete some that I maybe just wanted to read again etc., before deletion.

On the blackberry - I always had the option: Delete off phone or Delete off phone & server.

i've talked to Verizon about this, been trying to figure it out myself coming from the Storm1. they told me that it should be an option with Yahoo! to delete on the server or not. i haven't found anything in my email settings. i believe it's as simple as Droid vs. BlackBerry. agreed with thecta, view your messages on your phone then use your computer to move them around. maybe there will be a fix in due time.

I have a yahoo based email account that works well on my phone save one problem. It only deletes email on the phone and not on the server. What can I change to make sure it deletes on the server as well? Like the OP I came from a BB that gives you these options.

my girlfriend is having the same issue. every time she checks her mail on the phone, she has to go through old email she read and deleted the last time she checked it on her phone...very frustrating. anyone have a detailed description on how to change this setting with yahoo?

**we checked on her phone, there is no option for making sure the server deletes the email as well. was that tip in reference to a yahoo mail app? or the "email" app already on the phone with the envelope and "@" popping out? please describe in detail how to do this!!**

New to the forum. I have been searching around in here to find the same answer.
I am a new Droid X user and just converted from BBerry.

I liked the feature where I would delete e-mails on my phone, but not on the server (doesnt matter if it is yahoo, gmail, or outlook).

How can I do the same as mentioned above on the Droid X?
