Move nandroid backup from one droidx to a replacement droidx?

My droidx has a stuck green pixel so Verizon is sending a brand new replacement droidx.

Will this new phone puke if I insert my current SD card, install Z4 root and ClockworkMod Recovery and restore my current back up to this new phone? Kinda wondering if there are any settings in my restore files like a MAC address or the phone's SID which would cause issues?

    Thanks,
    somegeek

It'll work. Everything is tied to your google account. Once you sign in you'll be fine. Root/Bootstrap/Restore

This was pretty painless. Didn't get a new phone since it was past the initial 30 days but this refurb had a brand new case and screen so minus a moved sticker on the inside, it's virtually new and arrived with 2.2.1 installed (same as my current phone).

Moved battery and SD card(with nandroid backup of old phone) over to refrub.

    Booted up the refurb.

Set apps to allow external app installs.

Installed z4 root from apk on SD card and rooted.

    Rebooted

Installed DroidXRecovery from apk on SD card and ran to reboot into recovery.

Rebooted into recovery and restored my latest nandroid backup onto the refurb from my SD card.

Once the phone booted fully(I was 99% back to my old phone apps/settings at this point on this new phone), I dialed *228 to activate new phone cell SID.

New phone is back to the current state from my old phone with the stuck pixel(woot).

Updated the MAC in my WAP for the new phone and wifi is good again.

    All good again.

After you get the procedure down, wiping to a factory default and then restoring from your nandroid backup takes ~10 minutes.

    Thanks for the replies.
