Android Market My Apps "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return
"A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous Screen" error appears when going to "My Apps" when trying to find updates to current installed apps. I have never purchased an app, I'm just looking for updates on what I currently have. This was previously called "My Downloads" which was working fine before the latest 2.3 upgrade on Verizon. Has anyone else experienced this? I have already tried rebooting the phone and removing the battery.

Im right there with u. I deleted my data in the market app and that didn't work. Rebooted it twice. Im not sure what's up. I force upgraded my phone to the newer market about 2 weeks ago with a download. I might search for that and try redoing it

had this problem earlier and went to settings->applications->manage applocations->all
then scrolled down to "market" click force stop then clear data and problem went away

Add me to the list. Mine doesn't work either. I even tried uninstalling the latest update, and still get the error.
I had the problem earlier. I had leaked market that was not showing the widget section. I went to check foe updates and got the same error. I then checked to see if I got purged the official and I had (widget section was there).
I tried un installing the market and still no bueno.
I just installed fission 2.4.2 and market works great now. Try a whipe, that may have same effect.

Just a thought here. Anyone who's having the problem a google apps for domains user?
I have my google checkout linked to my non-apps account and I have both my google apps and non google apps accounts on my phone. Maybe the market is looking at the google apps account and isn't being authorized? I thought there was a way at some point to tell the market which google account to associate, but I could be wrong. I did do a factory reset not that long ago (2.2.1 update) and I never got asked that, so maybe I have something confused.
Also, didn't google recently open up checkout, google groups, etc for use with apps for domains accounts? Maybe it's got something to do with the google server.
Anyhow, I just created a google checkout account for my apps for domain account, which is the main account on my phone, but that didn't fix the problem.
Or, maybe not. Keep up the reports. I'm not going to try anything drastic (new ROM/factory reset) yet.
Also, in the short run, you can use appbrain to sync your apps and it can show you which apps have updates and then take you to the market page for each to install the update. Not an elegant solution, but it works for now.
Edit: I don't think it has to do with that. I actually tried to buy something and the market page came up and showed me my non apps account info. What if I even wanted to change which checkout account to use, where is that?
Oh well. I really hope there is an easy solution here.

I also tried disabling ad free android, just in case that might have been blocking the phone from reaching the market.
It's just really weird that I can install things, I just can't get to the my apps page.
So what are we supposed to do now?
