Help me root this thing already please!Droid 2 Global root FAIL but says successful?

So I spent 4 hours trying to do a dimple one click root only to get stu k at checking for device screen on my droid 2. Finally today I woke up with a. Lead head and tried on a different computer, it supposibly worked and says congradulations your phone is now rooted....but when I go into wireless tethering app it says root access required.. what do I do I tried to reroot 3 times only to get a successful message again and again...someone please help me root this thing the x was hard but not this hard....im running droid 2 global (white) froyo 2.2 os...id appriciate it if someone can write me full step by step instructions on how to root it bcause I am a noon and don't understand all this stuff too well yet... thank you
