Navigation map doesn't rotate when driving direction changes

I've just started using the Google maps/navigation thing in my car. But unlike my Magellan and Garvin, when I change the direction I'm heading, the screen on the DX does not rotate so that the direction I am travelling is always at the top. Does anyone know if this can be setup somehow?

    Thanks!

Have you tried a battery pull? I have had that happen on rare occasions but the normal Google maps / turn by turn navigation works the same as what you're describing with the direction your car is traveling always pointing up.

The maps part only shows the map facing north, regardless of what way you're driving. I just open up the navigation icon and press the M icon on the top right corner, and that's just like running a garmin, and you don't have to put on a destination if you don't want to.

Bumping this. I recently installed the rooted GB update. For several weeks after that, the Maps app worked perfectly...as of three days ago, now while navigating the display does not rotate - North is always up. There is no compass rose icon on which to click while navigating to switch from north-up to direction-up (though the compass rose does appear when just in regular maps mode). Any ideas on how to make nav rotate based on my direction of travel? I've done a battery pull already.

Google maps rotates as you drive so that the direction of travel is always up. The navigation app doesn't do that and it does get annoying.

That's not true Mutant - at least not until 3 days ago for me.

I just went for a drive and my Navigation in standard follow me mode did work properly by having my direction of travel up.

Yeah, mine rotates as a "typical" GPS should. I've never had a problem with it at all.

    same issue here

I just started facing the same issue. It was working fine for the past year. I tried pulling the battery. uninstalling the google map update. The navigation maps always point north. Is there a way to fix it ?
