    Droid X and Ubuntu

I recently updated to ubuntu 10.10. My X is rooted with rubiX 1.6. I can't get my X to be recognized on my laptop nor on the phone. It charges when connected but there are no options in the pull down notification bar for USB, mass storage, etc. Anyone have any ideas or familiarity? Thanks ahead of time.

I am having some trouble with this too although on my X it does see that it is connected to a computer and can switch between the different options. I have read and found that you need to create a rules file that tell Ubuntu what your device is I guess but I cannot get it to work. I have seen google's page on this and followed those instructions plus several others but I thing the problem is that the instructions are not specific to the Droid X. Here is one of the links I have tried, maybe it will help you.

Ya, I'll be dabbling in the Linux world as soon as I get a chance to install Ubuntu. So I'm sure I'll be asking you his to do it!

I found updating out of rubix 1.6 helped. I haven't had any problems since then.
