I recently bought a DROID X from a independent Metro PCS store. The phone was rooted and flashed completely to use the Metro network. I originally got this phone because of the $40 a month plan Metro offers and I am now starting to read up on all the cool things you can do with this device. I would like to upgrade my Firmware from 2.1 to 2.2. I've already read my fair share of posts, but no one has posted in regards to a phone that has been flashed onto the Metro network. My question is, should I expect any complications following the directions for upgrading to FROYO given that my phone was flashed to the Metro PCS network?
Below are my phone's specifics just in case that's helpful.
System Version 1.13.604.MB810.Verizon.en.US
Model Number: DROIDX
Firmware Version: "2.1-update1"
Kernel Version: 2.6.29
Build Number: VZW
ERI Version: 5
PRL Version: 2004
Under the Superuser Permissions I have:
- mkdir /data/local/bin as root (uid: 0)
- mkdir /data/opt as root (uid: 0)
- reboot as root (uid:0)
- Autostart (Root) (uid: 10093) /system/bin/sh/ as roo (uid: 0)
thanks for the help
