Restored phone to factory settings, lost turn by turn directions

I did a factory reset on my phone. After doing it, when using the google navigation, rather than getting turn by turn directions, I now get chimes for the prompts and can't find where to change. Any ideas?

it may be the settings in the maps... make sure you have the google navigator installed

Navigator is installed. That is the program I am using

Have you checked the Market to see if your Google Maps has an update available? Try that.
If it doesn't work, I would uninstall the app, reboot your phone (unnecessary, theoretically, but I do it anyway), and download and install Google Maps off the market again.
