    Market app stuck on installing

    *mod edit*
Market is down. It's not device, ROM, or root vs non-root specific.

DF is seeing a number of people reporting the same. It's all over Twitter as well.

Be patient... nothing we can do, it's on Google's end.

    -original post below-

I had the free version of soundhound installed, then deleted it (I think). Now when ever I openup market, it's always trying to install it, but the download never starts.
I deleted the soundhound folders hoping that would let it download but it didn't help.
Is there any way to remove apps from the market download que?

What you have to do is open up the market info page for soundhound cancel download and select install again. Once installed you can delete it permanently, other than that anytime that the app has a update the market will try to install when nothing is there, you can't just delete an app you have to uninstall it as well to make sure it doesn't try to update "nothing"

    Marketplace jacked up today?

Neither my phone or my friends can download from marketplace right now. Downloads just sit at "installing" then eventually go to "download unseccessful".

What gives? Anyone else getting this?

I tried several apps....two different phones....scratch that....three different phones now. None of them are downloading successfully.

That was the first thing I tried. But when I go to the soundhound info page, there is no option to delete or cancel where the buttons would normally be. Instead the button at the bottom is grayed out and says "installing...". It's like it is trying to start the install but is stuck and gives me no other options.

When I deleted the app originally, I did it through the App Manager and everything seemed to go smoothly. After I discovered the stuck install, I used a file app to see if there was any left over files or directory from the original install, which there was, so I deleted the file folders to see if it would allow the install to continue or at least stop it.

There is a problem with the market right now. No apps are downloading, this is probably your issue...
