Transferring iTunes music from an iMac to my Droid X
I am having trouble. My iMac won't recognize my Droid X. When I plus it in I get the following message:
The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer.
with buttons to either ignore or eject.
Any tips on how to get music on without a card reader?

Look into Double Twist, that software will sync your iTunes library to your android phone.
I've yet to try it on the DroidX, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
If that doesn't work theres also iSyncr
Imho i can't stand doubletwist because sometimes it doubles the music, or it reads it wrong and will name the songs funny. Don't get me wrong, if i never used itunes id love it, but im sticking with using itunes. Look up itunes agent. Im not quite sure about the program on a mac, but on windows it works flawlessly.
And on the plus side, its free!

For my iMac, I use ITuneMyWalkman. Works pretty well. Well, that is when I can mount my X to the iMac. Ugh...
iSyncr works pretty well, but with the free version you're only able to transfer 20 songs or less

Once you select USB mass storage, you may have to unplug and plug in again for it to show up on the desktop.
How do you find the music in the library? I am relatively new to my macbook pro... If I look under places I see my name/hardrive... inside that I see libraries which has garage band and itunes... That it??
edit: nevermind, I found all the folders with the songs... Thanks!
Thanks! Problem solved! I don't want my entire library, just a few albums to get me through. Seems The USB mass storage mode was the key to it. You were right on the money loehrs65! Kudos to you!
The people at Double Twist said that it only works with 10.5 or higher. If you're running an OX less than that, like me, I'm not sure what to do. Can I just use a card reader and move the tunes that way?
