How do u know it will not show up on the bill....i havent tried this.hsck yet but what im wondering is how come I can click 3g mobile hotspot and it will let me.set up a password and then turn on...yet I never added the mobile hotspot $20 dollar feature to my account?

Long story short, 3G Mobile Hotspot switches your phone's data connection from "TYPE_MOBILE" to "TYPE_MOBILE_DUN", which shuts down you your data connection unless you you are subscribed to the 3G Mobile Hotspot service. Cycling radio off/on in EasySwitch switches your data connection back to TYPE_MOBILE, while keeping 3G Mobile Hotspot open.

Do you have to do the originally listed process every time you use it? Or will the initial time be enough?

switchpro has 3g/2g toggle. you'll probably have to do this after every reboot.

okay I've done everything listed, but Verizon still knows I'm not subscribed to the hotspot feature. If I go to any data intensive site or try to view any videos, it redirects to a page telling me to sign up for the hotspot. How do I get around this?

There are other ways if you are rooted, wireless tether in the market is the easiest

I use the airplane mode set upbringing just turn off radio.. works everytime..

I have been running my X with 2.2 OTA update and got my unlimited hotspot working.

Here is how. Download Easyswitch from market. Run hotspot. Connect with laptop and get the VZ page. Now use easyswitch and toggle radio off and back on (4th icon). Now go to a website on your laptop.

That's it! Full hotspot and no root. Will not show up on your bill either.

This will not show up on your bill for the reason that you are not subscribed to hotspot.
