Didn't unroot for 2.2 update, just rooted post 2.2 update, no super user app?

I didn't unroot my X when I did the 2.2 update, forgot about it. I rooted the phone today, wifi tether works, but, adfree doesn't. I don't have the super user app either. So, what do I need to do to get the super user app and adfree working?

You have to re-install adfree to re-overwrite the host file.

I did, try to run it and I get the same "Unable to get root access." I figured if I had the super user app, I could allow root access to that program.

no you just have the executable with the wrong permissions. If you can get read/write permissions you could actually chmod su and busybox to 4755 and have root. If you do not know what I am talking about re-read and follow the above instructions.
