Handcent Duplicate SMS Messages

I was only getting duplicated txt messages to my Handcent application. The stock messenger was disabled.
So just to be clear I would get the same message twice, with the same time, in the same inbox for Handcent.

I resolved this by going into Handcent ->menu->settings->application settings->default messaging application - and chose "ALL(SMS &MMS)".

I hadn't changed this setting to start getting the duplicate messages. The only thing I can think of was my recent GB upgrade and possibly an update from Handcent.

Just registered. I want to make sure that anyone that sees this thread, read the above reply. It worked, instantly.

I had an issue with my Handscent about two weeks ago, and since then, upon receiving a text from any VZW customer, I would get duplicates and time stamps..well I got so annoyed with the double notifications, I left it in vibrate...it just got out of hand. Trying this fix, of making it "ALL (SMS & MMS)" worked.
