    Recovery Menu

I have been playing with my DX and discovered that I can get into two different menu's on power up. I can get into my clockmod recovery...by pressing the power button and once I get the "M" logo rease it and hold my "home Button" and this takes me to clockmod recovery and if I hold my power button and home button continuosly it takes me to the"Triangle with andriod symbol. Is this the way things are supposed to work or did I discover something new?

Thank you for sharing but fyi this does not work for going into clockwork recovery.. clockwork only works from app.. and sometimes just automatically starts up when you reboot your phone if u ran clockwork recovery a few times in a row.. and made u think that holding a few buttons bought you into it.. thank you tho

Is there anyway other than bootstrap to get into clockwork recovery? It'd be nice to be able to get into from boot if there was a shortcut during start up like with my D1. If I mess things up I don't want to have to SBF. I just want to load a nandroid backup. Not easy to do if I can't get the phone to boot. Plus ROM manager wont let let me into recovery from there I have to use bootstrap?

Quickboot is supposed to get you into the Recovery and Bootloader without having to do any of that.

RIGHT from the app maker's site, guys:

What if my phone won't boot? How do I get into recovery without the app?
When the hijacker runs, it will automatically create the "/data/.recovery_mode" file after it finishes. This tells the system that the next time it boots, it should boot into recovery. But, when the system starts, the Droid X Recovery Bootstrap will then delete that file when Android is fully started, to prevent you from booting into recovery. So what does this mean? If you fail to boot, simply pull your battery, and your next boot will be into recovery (unless your /system is *really* hosed, in which case you need to SBF).

There has been twice when I've gotten stuck on the M screen, each time I pull the battery and put it back in the thin boots just fine, but definitely doesn't go into recovery mode
