So I'm trying this and the screen on the laptop is just hanging at * daemon started successfully *. Been hanging out there for like 10 minutes. Any suggestions?

Toggling "USB Debugging" on/off didn't work for me, but I tried a different USB port on my computer (when you're stuck at that message, it's still ok to unplug it and replug it in), and it worked fine for me with no errors. As mentioned in the original, it guides you through all the steps except how to get to clearing cache from the triangle/android screen (both volume buttons, clear cache, reboot). Thanks to the OP for the rooting instructions.
