X2 Development

I am wondering if the development for the X2 is the same as the X. Is rooting the X2 the same as the X, is there a good amount of roms for the X2? I ask because my X is breaking down and Verizon is going to replace it with the X2 i believe but before i do I want to make sure that I can do everything I could with my X on an X2.. Thanks guys

You can use the same methods... Ie Droid 3/zegrush methods... But as far as roms... There isn't as much... But it does have cm7 and miui... And liberty... Those are the few roms I can think of that they both have
