Need complete guide for rooting dx.

Hello everyone. First off I would like to say that yes I am a noob when it comes to this. However I have read the benefits for rooting and am interested. Only thing is I have no idea what I am doing, what i need and the process. Soo question is.... will anyone help guide me through this? I know there are pages on how to do this but its all so vage and unfamiliar... can i get some help on at least getting started? Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

thanks alot for the link ill check it out. Ive read a little about how to do this, but it still is way over my head ha the terminology and acronyms just confuses the heck out of me ha but thanks ill be back after i read up a lil bit.

how do i know what drivers to download? kind of a vague question but i hope you know what im talking about haha

Gotcha ha k so from the link above im following petes motorolla root tools from the link above after I downloaded the drivers and then the zip file I can't open the file I don't know how to extract zipped files. Haha sorry probably pretty easy but what can I say ....

Download 7zip and instal, then right click the file you downloaded from petes site and should see an option to extract
