How do I delete Clockworkmod so I can upgrade to Gingerbread?

I tried getting Cyanogenmod, but it didn't work. So I'm basically saying "F" it and want to go back to Gingerbread. But, Clockworkmod comes up every time it tries to install, disrupting the installation. I just want my phone back to normal. And I can't even do anything in the market now because Gmail doesn't exist on my phone anymore...

Please help. Also, I'm not big into mods and crap so please keep the tech talk down a bit.

The easiest, more effective way would be to SBF. And the easiest method is in this link

Linux solution to your Windows/RSD lite problems

Just download the 602 version and follow the steps in that thread

    What is SBF?

And is there a quicker method? I spent hours last night trying to get Cyanogenmod only for it to fail at the very last part. I'm a bit tired of all this.

SBF wipes your phone and reinstalls the stock, out of the box, official version of android. And it's pretty quick and easy.

Alright, I got the DVD burned and everything, but I don't know how to get to the boot menu on my Gateway NV53 laptop. I tried F10, F12, F8, and Esc and none of those worked. :/

EDIT: F5 put me into a boot manager and F8 put me into an advanced boot manager. However, none of these had an option to boot from CD.

Try hittin "del" or delete button. That should being u into the bios menu. Then jist change the boot options, to boot from the cd or usb whichever u used.

Your computer will tell you what button to hit to enter setup or BIOS at some point fairly early on in the boot process. Once there, look for a "boot" tab, then "boot priority" option. Put your cd/DVD drive first, with the hard drive second, then reboot with the disc inserted.

I used my dad's computer and I got to the "boot baby boot" screen, pressed "enter", and it started doing it's thing. Then it went into a terminal like screen but stopped at this point:

It stayed like this for about 7-8 minutes.
