How to change 3G icon to 4G lte

I will tell you how to change your boring 3G uploader icon to the new 4G lte:
This method should work on all rom's on droid x

MUST HAVE A ROOTED PHONE!

1.) Download the .rar file attached.
This rar file includes 4 .png's labeled:
stat_sys_data_connected_3g.png
stat_sys_data_in_3g
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g
stat_sys_data_out_3g

THE ABOVE SAY 3G BUT THEY ARE 4G LTE ICONS
THEY NEED TO REMAIN THE SAME NAME SO SCRIPTS
CAN RUN FLOWLY

Please copy all 4 files to your sd card, or any folder you can remember.

2.) Navigate to /system/framework/framework-res.apk on your phone
using your file manager that HAS ACCESS TO ROOT!! PRESS VIEW PACKAGE
I recommend Root Explorer

navigate within the package to /res/drawable-hdpi
the first ones you see....
Then NAVIGATE all the way down to stat_sys_data_connected_3g.png
Now your here, now you see data_in_3g, and so on.

3.) Download/Open NinjaMorph (it is in the folder) Make sure ninjamorph runs the checks it needs to.
Click new project, and navigate to your /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Then go to /res/drawable-hdpi/STAT_SYS_DATA_CONNECTED_3g.png
and after clicking this .png Ninjamorph will ask WHAT ICON YOU WANT TO REPLACE IT WITH
navigate to THE FOLDER YOU COPIED MY 4 .PNG'S
Now Click the new stat_sys_data.
Now replace the next 3 icons down the list (/res/drawable-hdpi/ THEY ARE ALPHABETICAL.)
After having the 4
stat_sys_data_connected_3g.png
stat_sys_data_in_3g
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g
stat_sys_data_out_3g
Pasted over the /system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdpi/ directory.

4.)
NOW CLICK Finish project. It will ask for you to overwrite, then IT WILL MAKE A COPY OF YOUR original framework-res.apk in androidthemes/backup,
or something like that.
It will ask if you want to ZIPALIGN THE PACKAGE- SAY NO, ALWAYS SAY NO
Now it will ask you if you want to dump/discard/finish/clean up your project. SAY no just in case you didn't do it right.

I hoped it worked for all of yuh.
~im running droid x darkslide 4.2 rom 1.3 Ghz overclocked and battery lasts 10+hours with some of my own personal .png swaps

By the way, this may only work for droid X's that have black notification bar's for the 4G lte symbols are white!!

Yeah it works I did when I was back in liberty gb but when I tried it in miui I didn't work

this is weird shax.... when i go to find the png's in ningamorph to replace them... i can't find them.. but i found 4g icons in that folder... i'm running cm7 build #58

hm. What do you mean you cannot find them? Did you make sure that you extracted it to a right place? And remember the symbols are white so it only works for a black notification bar

hm. i See ... You have to start with ninjamorph in your system/framework-res.apk then res/xml/eri.xml

or system/framework/framework-res.apk
it's in a .apk though

I was looking through that apk... But failed to see the right icons to switch out

they should be under res/drawable-hdpi or find it through a drawable directory.
