I found this article: Rooting Explained + Top 5 Benefits Of Rooting Your Android Phone | Android News, Reviews, Applications, Games, Phones, Devices, Tips, Hacks, Videos, Podcasts - Android Police
The article has a section that explains one of the benefits of rooting your android device is being able to back up your phone. I have looked around the forums but have found nothing on rooting and creating a backup image of your phone so you can restore your phone to that image if anything happens. I'm getting a new Droid X in the mail today and was thinking about rooting, then creating a full complete image of the phone, then proceed to remove apps that I don't want or need. Is this possible on the Droid X? And how do I do it?
