    Drivers and RSD Lite

I am having the hardest time making my phone appear in RSD Lite so that I can SBF. I had the same problem back when the original Droid X root came out and you had to do it with ADB.

Basically, I download the Droid X motorola drivers from links here or staright from searching on Microsoft and install them. However, my phone does not show up in RSD. I tried changing the usb modes. My phone at one point showed up in the device manager as MD and some numbers and it appeared in RSD, but I had to reboot for something else real quick and when I came back to the device manager it said Mot Composite Interface Device and would not show up.

I have uninstalled the drivers and the motorola software and it will still only show up at Mot Composiste ADB interface.

This was the problem I had on this laptop before and gave up and plugged it into a different Windows 7 machine and it worked fine with default drivers. I wiped this laptop since then and it worked with the windows drivers here to until I decided to install the Motorola drivers.

How can I make this work and show up.

    Thank you.

Try forcing your phone into bootloader (hold the camera and volume down buttons when you turn it on) and see if it shows up then.

List of custom boot animations and logos.
If you want a custom boot animation or logo, let me know.
I can also add sound to your current boot animation.

Just got my work laptop back from my wife who had been borrowing it for a bit and will be installing all my tools on it so I can get back to work.

My Droid X is currently running undervolted at stock speeds on ApeX 1.4.1.

The phone will only show up if your phone is in bootloader. (Power button + volume down button).

Make sure you are using RSD Lite version 4.8, not 4.9. If you are on Win 7 64bit, make sure that you right click the application, and choose to always run program as administrator.

The appropriate drivers are found here: USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA (you don't need the USB charging drivers)

After you install the drivers, plug the phone in and boot to bootloader, let the driver install for firmware mode, then open up RSD Lite 4.8, phone should then show up.

This will work best if you place the .sbf file in the root of your C: drive (C:\VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf).

I have tried holding down and home and neither work.

I run Win 7 64-bit machine and have downloaded the moto drivers that is required but my computer cannot find the drivers when i connect the USB to the phone in Bootloader mode? Anyone have the same issue? The Moto drivers downloads as an .exe file but is there a way to manually add the drivers or locate them after running the exe file? This is preventing me from running RSDlite to get me back to froyo after the GB update (non-rooted). What happens if i just do a Factory Reset instead of SBF?

Umm... yes. But the question is... does your computer even recognize that there is a device at all? I can't tell you how to do a manual driver installation if there is no device to begin with.

Windows cannot find the drivers i downloaded and installed from Moto so i cannot get the device to show up in RSDlite (with Admin) from the bootloader mode. Whats weird is windows has no problem recognizing the Phone when its turned on in any of the USB connection modes, just not recognizing when i need it most to SBF back to froyo argh...
