Motorola Xoom Boot Animation for your Droid X!!!

    Find the .zip here
Here is the same .zip just half speed
    Boot logo (instructions below)

    Xoom Honeycomb (Bee) Boot Logo

The zip was put together by Gorgarath and I, it will look like something like this.

I installed it on Liberty 1.5 and Gorgarath installed it on some form of ApeX (I think 1.4.1)

You may want to copy the original bootanimation.zip from the data/local folder to your SD card so you have a back up

You need a root R/W file manager
Copy the .zip from the downloads folder
Go to Data/local, delete the old bootanimation.zip and paste the new one (rename it bootanimation.zip)

    Boot into ClockWork
Scroll down to install zip, select the zip, install it
    Reboot
    Enjoy!!!
    Viola!!!

Something like that? Lol. Glad you got it working. I think I might grab it and swipe the images for a new project.

I like how they capitalized on honeycomb for it.

    Nice work guys.

DX- rooted, deodexed, strapped, OC'd, and themed how I like it.

Nah, it looks even better than that cuz it's on my X and not someone else's Xoom. I gotta say, it does look pretty sweet, but I'm going to have to put stock ApeX bootanimation back on simply because I want to show my boss so he can be all wtf with the sound and all.

EDIT: Even better, I'll leave this on, but keep a copy of both on my SD card and show him how awesome it is to be able to customize.

I can also add sound to your current boot animation.

Just got my work laptop back from my wife who had been borrowing it for a bit and will be installing all my tools on it so I can get back to work.
My Droid X is currently running undervolted at stock speeds on ApeX 1.4.1.

Never flashed a boot animation before, just flash this in bootstrap right?

And always remember to read, read, read, and read some more!

No, you just overwrite the file already on your phone. It's located in either /system/media or /data/local. ApeX is /data/local, not sure about Liberty.

Sweetness, thank you, honestly, don't tell Fab, but I don't care for the new boot animation on ApeX lol

Hehe, the sound can be disabled in the toolbox. And apparently on Liberty, there's a bootanimation.zip file in both /system/media and /data/local so I have no idea which to replace when running Liberty. Maybe one day I'll try flashing it just in order to find out.

Use root explorer copy the new boot zip from your download file or download file from your web browser (it will go to one or the other) copy the new zip then paste in data/local then long press it and rename it bootanimation.zip

Reboot and watch your cool new animation.

    On liberty 1.5!

Haha, I forgot he added the sound, and when it started up I about crapped my pants lol. For some reason, I have just always enjoyed the legacy Android boot animation from ApeX 1.3.1, don't why, just do.
