Permission Error with adp push?

Hey guys, I'm pretty knew to this site. (First post).
I'm having problems with adp push.

Regardless of the file i try to "push" i get the error:
failed to copy 'test.txt' to '/sdcard/test.txt' " permission denied.

I have USB debugging selected in the Application settings.

Is the sdcard mounted on your PC rather then your phone?

Not quiet sure exactly what you mean hear. I'm in PC mode. Another problem, may be related, may not. ADB doesn't see the phone when in PC mode...only when in USB Mass Storage. I do have the drivers installed. I get the permission error when in USB Mass Storage mode.

Holy Crap! Thanks!!! Why isnt ADB seeing the device in PC mode and the drivers installed? Or should i create another thread for this question?

Naw, some computer are dumb like that. I had to change it up several times before I figured it out
