    Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're doing Wireless Tether the rooted way you shouldn't have any cap. If you have an unlimited data plan on your phone then you shouldn't need to worry about a cap.

    Verizon's "unlimited" data plan is really set at 5GB. If anyone has more information on this please link. I couldn't find anything concrete from Verizon.

    The data plans the Droid X is on is unlimited. period. there is no cap at all.

    The non rooted tether is what has a cap, and is an extra $20 per month from Verizon. Rooted you wont have a problem.

    Correct, using the Verizon tether is capped at 2gb for $20

    I've had an unlimited data plan since 2006... Been tethering a MotoQ, then a Q9C with USBModem all along. Now I'm rockin' my DroidX with Barnacle. Been hearing about this 5GB limit for years... I've had periods of up to 6 months where my phone was my only way to access the internet. I'm pretty sure I've topped this 5GB limit atleast a dozen times, and probably even sucked down over 5GB in a week a few times. I've never had a problem.... *knocks on the kitchen table*

    I hope someone can help...I rooted....WT installed and workin but when im done it says press to stop tethering....it wont stop....am i missing a setting??? any help would be GREAT!!!thanks
