Someone mentioned plugging the phone to a USB via AC charger, without the battery worked for them. I can't confirm that...

it can and has been done. Someone here posted a write up on it but basically you'd have to cut a USB cord, and connect the red and black wires to the proper terminals in the back of th phone. Risky, sure.. the best way to do it? Absolutely not. But, desperate times call for desperate measures, and I've been cutting and splicing wires of the such my whole life, so I've done this as well. Its not like your phone is going to blow up.

If your just trying to turn your phone on. Yes, plug it into a charger with no battery.. it will work no problems... but if you pull the charger out, it will power off immediately (obviously). As far as RSD lite goes.. I dont know.

I found out a much easier way. I went into bootstrap recovery, selected "reboot the phone," unplugged the battery before it hits the M.
