So I wrote in a previous thread how I was baffled about how I managed to successfully root my device without even following the instructions correctly. Turns out, I figured out how I did it, and it seems to be very very simple.
The first time I performed the root I had trouble getting the ADB drivers correctly working. For some odd reason, it just hit me to use the 'adb.exe' and 'AdbWinApi.dll' from the SDK and drag them into my root folder (c:/DroidXRoot). After doing this, I had successfully rooted my device (without even knowing it until now!). The pics should explain it better than I can.
Notice in my cmd where I had reinserted both the files from the SDK into the directory.
