Awsome. jhankg ,Thank you for your quick response. Last question on this, is there anything as of now that would enable us to immediatly unroot without having to wait for an OTA? Guess I just want to be sure something like this can be undone and wont be stuck with the choice we've made until the OTA saves us lol.

why is it you would have to unroot? root does nothing that would cause you to worry about your phone. unless you had to take it to verizon for some reason? There is no downside to rooting... no ill side effects, etc... to answer your question no, until an SBF is dug up i don't think you can simply uninstall superuser... if your that concerned, don't root...

I'd like to remove/rename everything that starts with blur , but I feel like that might be a bad idea.

So far I've renamed Blockbuster, vvm, and... er... something else.

Im thinking you mess with blur and you jack something up, it is so heavily integrated into this phone....unlike what Moto said.

How exactly is this method not clean and safe compared to the update.zip method? Works like a champ and takes all of 30 seconds to perform.

How do you see what is available to change? I'd like to remove some things, but am completely unaware of how to do it. I have root and am all set and ready...

WE HAZ ROOTS!.

NOTE: it might be a smart idea to do "rm /system/bin/rootshell" after you have su and superuser in place as ANY program will have access to your root if you leave it (cause everyone will know the password)

when I go to remove rootshell it gives: rm failed for /system/bin/rootshell, Read-only file system... What am I doing wrong?
