    What would be the risk assessment on this, how likely is it to cause perment damage if a step is screwed up or something goes wrong. Also whats the chances that something will go wrong.

    you wont wreck your phone. No bricking possible with this.

    Do not delete anything with blur. Has anyone found where the kindle api is? I can't delete it.

    Did you turn on WIFI? I had someone that is a whiz with Android. It failed until WIFI was turned on. They Bing Bang Boom we have root. Installed Barnacle and works like it did on my Droid.

    I can say that Wifi Tether for Root is working on the X. Haven't messed with anything else yet because I don't know where to really start!

    cant u just use root explorer and do a search for it? i know astro search leaves out a few places when using the search function

    Haha, this is so awesome. Just a week ago I was reading some wannabe dev's post on another forum about how he doubted we'd even see SU root on the X. IN YR FACE

    Thanks so much to everyone who pulled this off. (And to Mike919 for bricking his phone last night!)

    So can we get a list going of bloatware apk's? They're not all named what you would expect, e.g. I'm not seeing 3g Mobile Hotspot anywhere in /system...
