Droid X Prototype = Root

Guys, i needed to start a new thread to get everyones attention. Ive gone through many prototypes in my day and i can say, one of the easiest and most direct way to get to root would be through a prototype pre production model unit. 99% of prototype units are not tied down and locked, for testing purposes they use those units to test for all networks, meaning they wont have locked baseband down, nor other features (efuse) and all that crap. In the past and i presume the present, the key has and will be to get a droid x prototype to give us the big step we need in the right direction to figure out what is been enabled to stop us from root. Ive been looking and so far havent found any pre production (prototype) units yet. So if you guys want root, i suggest stepping up and providing any info and joining together here to get this done. If anyone knows of someone selling or who possesses a pre production droid x, point us in the right direction, i would even be willing if one were to be for sale to purchase such unit to help out. Any other opinions about this please post here. Thanks guys.

I know a person that works for a company that tests phones for Verizon. He's shown me a few prototypes of past phones, I could maybe get him to show me an X prototype. I probably won't be able to play with it for more than an hour or two though so what would you want me to do?

Hey rusky, well u would need to be able to con nect it to a computer n reverse flash the phone so I doubt youd be able to. Plus one of the guys who knows a lot bout root would need to work on the reverse flashed file or phone itself. try to get A software build and baseband version.

It's a java irc client to the DX rooting channel where everyone hangs out and attempts to figure out a way through this

Yes, the IRC is in no way connected with DXF except for the members that are on there. Birdman, B16, and several others all hang out there.
