Kernel version question regarding non-OTA updating

    Hello,

I saw in the post by dRod for rubix 1.0 he stated he cannot update the kernel on the phone and this got me thinking, I never did the official OTA update to get to 2.2, I went from 2.1 to 2.2 via FlyX and from there went to Rubix .5 focused, so am I still running on the 2.1 kernel and baseband?

I've been looking through forums for an hour or so but couldn't find anything regarding this so figured I'd ask and compare what my baseband and kernel say compared to others who did do the official OTA update.

In case picture isn't clear :
    Baseband : BP_C_01.09.06P
    Kernel : 2.6.32.9-gfb07887

you are running the 1st leak kernel. I had been running the early 2.2 leak kernel till the over clocking frenzy but I read that you may not be able to overclock as far with the earlier kernel so I SBF'd to 2.1 and ran the OTA. I have seen no gains in bench marks or daily use. On a side note, I wasn't able to OC any farther.

Thanks for that info. It's pretty helpful. I may try your path as well to see if I can duplicate the results.

I have those same exact numbers.

Does that mean I can flash the 2.1 sbf? I also have version 30.01 of the bootloader if that helps. I want to update the bootloader and baseband the safest way.

    Thanks for any help.
