[HOW TO] Use Droid X Bootstrap

I really need to just find an image and quit messing. I rooted, got bootstrap installed, ran bootstrap recovery, got success, rebooted and then ran reboot recovery. Phone rebooted and then goes to a blank screen, nothing. I've tried to reboot and go into recovery, but I only have the stock options. Is there something else I should be doing?

uncheck usb debugging. then try again.

So the bootstrap apps are no longer needed on ics correct? Rom manager can flash and boot into recovery?

Ya... Because they have the 2nd Init built in... If you use bootstrap... you will bootloop...... And rom manager works to flash a different version of the recovery

OK so my phone just won't go into a custom recovery. I've tried bootstrap along with various other recovery apps.I can get the phone to reboot but it just goes to the boot animation. Droid x2.

I was trying to make a back up of all my files but I only got this far:

How to backup your system
A backup is a snapshot of your system at that moment. This will be vital should you experience any issues modding your phone.

1. Click on Droid X Bootstrap app
2. Click Bootstrap Recovery, then click OK when it says Success
3. Click Reboot Recovery, phone will automatically reboot
4. Once in the black screen with green writing, you will use the side volume rockers to move up and down and then the camera hard key to select.

When it rebooted it stayed in the bootloader screen saying:
Bootloader
30.04



Battery OK
Ok to Program
Transfer Mode:
USB

(If it doesn't have USB plugged in it just says to plug it in)

Did I do something wrong?

ok well, From the stock bootloader screen I pressed the down volume button, the camera button, and the power button and it loaded up clockwork recovery So I got it working... Thanks for this, OP...
