    No problemo. I was told it was in rooolers guide, but that's some heavy reading. Your legs go numb sitting on the throne that long! I just put it out cuz I was getting quite a few PMs on using it. So enjoy.

    great job on the write up! only reason you lost sticky is because the thread got moved to the proper designated
    forum for guides, therefor no longer needs a sticky. Keep up the good work man!

    I only removed your sticky because I had a hacking tutorial guide section created for just these types of guides and moved it there. It won't get lost. Trust me.

    If it is any consolation yours is the first guide I moved here.

    Now, you're saying that if you delete BSR through Root Explorer, you can still restore a backup through Stock Recovery?
    Where does it give you the option to Restore, within the Stock Recovery?

    No you will only need to remove bootstrap to take an update or if you need to take the phone into VZW. After you take the update just use the link in my signature or post 1 to download the boosttap app again. If you take the update, its not a good idea to restore a backup from an older version. The backups are stored on your SD card so you will need bootstrap to restore them.

    The stock recovery is only used if you're stuck in a boot loop. Boot into stock recovery, wipe data/cache, factory reset, and then once phone boots up properly then you can load your last backup by downloading bootstrap again, if it gets erased.

    @Droid-Xer

    So you do have to remove bootstrap to update? I have been finding conflicting info everywhere, with no definative answer. I had found a nandroid backup of someones 2.3.151 on BL 30.04(like mine & was going to use it to get back to stock) and then update to 2.3.340. The only things on the backup I dl'ed is z4root, bootstrap, and rom manager. Are you saying BS would need to be removed b4 phone will accept the ota, and if so, can I bypass installing the 2.3.151 backup?
